DELE is an international exam for Spanish where the degree is awarded by Spain’s Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The exam is conducted by Instituto Cervantes & while the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain designs the exams and is in charge of corrections and the final evaluation of all exams (taken from www.dele.org)

Recently Rahul Sahasrabuddhe, our Director, was awarded the honor of being an Accredited Examiner for DELE. This essentially means he can officially examine candidates. This gave us an extra boost & more clarity in our pursuit of DELE.

 

Course Details

Objectives

• Understand the basic pattern of the exam
• Know the expectations of the examiners
• Learn the approach to solve different questions tests
• Learn to manage time
• Learn effective use of grammar & vocabulary

 

Structure

• The basic structure of the course is about solving 6 question papers
• As you all know DELE exam is divided in 4 main parts viz
• Comprensión lectura, comprensión auditiva, expresión e interacción escrita & expresión e interacción oral
• The students are asked to solve all the parts except expresión e interacción oral, the solution of which are discussed in the class

 

During the classes

• During the actual classes, solutions are discussed.
• Comprensión lectura & comprensión auditiva: For this test solutions to the questions where student has had a difficulty are discussed
• Expresión e interacción escrita: This is a rather tricky part.  For this part we learn to analyze the question well, understand the expectations of the examiner, try to study the approach & use the grammar & vocabulary in the most effective & efficient way possible.
• The students are asked to solve the questions from the test paper & they are checked & evaluated
• Expresión e interacción oral: This part is entirely done in the class. We go question by question analysing the meaning & understanding
  the ideal way to deal with a certain question.  

 

Personal analysis

At the end an analysis of the students performance is discussed giving further directions to strengthen the chances of succeeding
